My prayer is that this communication finds you well and safe. As we continue to monitor the rapidly evolving situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19), my first thought is for the safety and well-being of all FAME members, family, friends and the world. In these unprecedented times, it is important that we come together in spirit to support all those impacted.
In compliance with the Shelter In Place order, we will not hold Bible Study on Wednesday nights. Starting Sunday, March 22nd, we will hold our worship services and bible studies remotely until April 7th. We are working on identifying the ideal social media/communication platform that best serves our membership. It may be conference calls, live streaming, etc.
Those members who lead our feeding ministry have chosen to continue serving the hungry during this difficult time. They do so at the request and approval of Alameda County. We now serve persons in need of food on Tuesdays and Fridays – 11:45 – 1:15pm and Wednesdays – 4:45 – 6:15pm. In fact, we have expanded the ministry to include students from McClymond’s High School. Like restaurants, we only offer take outs. As a safety measure for them and us, none of our guests will enter the church at all.
Our cleaning services will continue to clean and disinfect the church, including the social hall and sanctuary. Additionally, our pews and carpet will be deep cleaned.
I ask you to be safe and check on our elderly, sick, and singles that we might demonstrate that we care.
Within the next day or so,. we will share more information on the upcoming worship services and bible studies as well as ways to submit your tithes and offering.
The church is here for you. If you have a clergy emergency, please call 510-899-4980 and one of our ministers will respond.
Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
