Purpose of Ministry
The Trustees shall manage all the temporal concerns of the church not otherwise provided for and shall have a treasurer elected by the Board.
• Shall guard for the Connection all real estate, churches, parsonages, schools, and any other property obtained by the local church.
• Make improvements upon the property or real estate when authorized to do so by a majority of the legal members of the church.
• They shall secure by purchase or rent, a house for the pastor’s family and comfortably furnish it.
Each person elected a Trustee shall be 18 years of age or older, a member of the local church for 6 months and member of the AME Church for 2 years. Members are nominated by the Pastor and voted on by the body of the local church. They shall serve for 1 year.
The Pastor is chairperson. The Pastor may appoint a chairperson pro tem to act in his/her absence.
When the Ministry Serves and/or Meeting Schedule.
Meets every other month on the Tuesday after the second Sunday.
