First Lady, Rev. Amittia Bradley Smith
Born in Los Angeles, CA, Reverend Amittia Bradley Smith is a preacher, teacher, motivational speaker, youth advocate, and an everyday extraordinary human being. Her witty presence and intense love for all mankind allow her to work wholeheartedly in her gifts. With a heart to encourage society, she is passionate about uplifting the downtrodden and equipping souls for work in the kingdom.
Fondly known as “Rev. T”, this humble woman of God, holds a bachelor’s degree from Morris Brown College, a master’s degree from Clark Atlanta University, and a Specialist in Education (Ed.S) from Columbus State University. She has studied abroad at the University of Seville in Seville, Spain and the University of Cape Coast in Cape Coast, Ghana. Rev. Smith is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
Before accepting her call to the ministry, Rev. T was an active member of the Women’s Missionary Society (WMS), Sunday school/bible study teacher, Young People’s Division, (YPD) Advisor, Minister’s Spouses, and held positions as an officer within some of the entities. Rev. T was ordained an itinerant deacon in the AME church in 2015 at the Southeast Alabama Conference. She also pastored at Dunn’s Chapel AME in Troy, Alabama. In 2018, she was ordained an itinerant elder at the Northeast Alabama Conference.
Rev. T has facilitated various workshops and training sessions. A teacher in and out of the church, Rev. T is currently a Special Education Teacher who has taught in the public schools of Georgia and Alabama, and a prison in Florida. As an educator, she has been nominated and received numerous awards and accolades including, Teacher of the Year 2020, and The Page One Sara Spano Top Teacher Award. Most importantly she has been a prominent part of lives that were molded and transformed into what they were purposed for. Recently, she published a book, entitled, So Loved, as she strives to share John 3:16 with everyone she meets.
She is married to the phenomenal Rev. Dr. Rodney D. Smith. They are blessed by God to be the parents of three beautiful, intelligent, and loving children, HoneyRose, Royal, and Rodney Jeremiah.
